BIENVENIDOS

Nací en Lieja (Bélgica) el 20 de abril de 1956 y desde muy joven me ha atraído el dibujo, la pintura, la vela y el mar. De forma autodidacta y para adquirir una buena base, me matriculé durante la noche en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Brujas.

 En 1975 me alisté como marinero y posteriormente hice carrera como suboficial en la armada militar belga, Después de una carrera rica y exitosa en la Marina, ahora tengo tiempo para vivir plenamente mi pasión.

 Había tenido la idea de pintar sobre cartas náuticas durante mucho tiempo. Difícil papel para acuarela, pero con paciencia y perseverancia mi técnica mejoró.

 Durante mis paseos por los muelles de los puertos, así como en la playa, recojo regularmente tablas viejas, trozos de madera y otros trozos de madera flotantes. Le doy a este 'desperdicio' una segunda vida utilizándolo como medio para mis pinturas acrílicas.

Con agua, mi caja de acuarelas y pintura acrílica, dejando flotar mis pinceles ola a ola, dejándolos deslizarse por las obenques y drizas, siento el rocío, el rodar y cabecearde los barcos y barcos que pinto.

 Welcom! 

I ‘m born in Liège (Belgium) April 20, 1956 and since very young I was attracted to drawing, painting and the sea.  Autodidact and to acquire a good basis, I enrolled in evening classes at the academy Fine Arts of Bruges.

 In 1975, I became a deckhand and later I made a career as a non-commissioned officer in the Belgian navy.

It was time that I had the idea to paint on navigation maps.
The beginning was difficult, the paper reacts differently than watercolor paper, but with patience and perseverance my technique has improved.

With my shoulder bag, my effects drawing and painting, my folding chair, I stroll along the wharves, docks and other fairings place ports. I love to sketch and paint smells, feeling and listening to the sound port.

With water, my box of watercolors and acrylic paint, leaving sail my brushes from one wave to another, letting them slide down the props and rigging, I feel the spray, roll and pitch of boats and ships I paint.

In a word,I sail with them!
